Indus Valley in Ladakh

Ladakh: The Confluence of Heaven and Earth

Nestled in India's northernmost regions, Ladakh is a place of unadulterated beauty, historic monasteries, and starry skies. Often referred to as "The Land of High Passes," it is a place unto itself, serene, bleak, and utterly remarkable.

📍 Where Is Ladakh?

Ladakh is part of the Union Territory of Ladakh, which was separated from Jammu and Kashmir in 2019. It is a crossroads of cultures and geography, sharing borders with Tibet, Himachal Pradesh, and Pakistan.

Leh and Kargil are its two primary districts; Leh is the most visited base.

🧘‍♂️ Peace, Monasteries, and Culture

Tibetan Buddhism has a strong cultural influence in Ladakh. Clinging to mountainside, ancient Gompas (monasteries) like Hemis, Thiksey, and Diskit are teeming with chanting monks, prayer wheels, and murals.
